Nestled in the foot of the Blue Hills is Birch Pine Lodge and Cabins. The property has a lodge and two cabins. The property is an excellent choice for family reunions, outdoor weddings or a retreat for quilters and scrap bookers. Year round activities include snowmobiling, skiing, hiking, ATVing hunting and so much more.
The Bruce Area Historical Society was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1985. The Museum Building located on East River Avenue, was originally the Bruce News Letter office. The Historical Society also owns the Apollonia Church, which is located on Highway No. 8, one mile west of Bruce. It was built in 1895 and is available to rent for events such as funerals or weddings.
The Museum is open every Wednesday from 10:00am until 2:00pm, during the summer months. It is also available by appointment.

We have four cottages to rent and the week starts on Saturday. Each cottage has an aluminum row boat, private dock, charcoal grill, picnic table and microwave. We do not furnish sheets for the beds, but do supply blankets and pillows. The cottages are housekeeping cottages so dishes, pots and pans, etc. for the kitchen are supplied, however we do not supply towels, dishtowels, or washcloths.
We provide a quiet and picturesque spot to park your RV, camping trailer, or to pitch a tent with plenty of space between our “extra-large” sites. Campsites can be rented by the day, weekend, month, or seasonally. We also have a cabin that can be rented as well.
Enjoy relaxing on the dock or commons area. Enjoy the day floating down the Flambeau River in an inner-tube with friends. Take advantage of some of the best fishing that the area has to offer. There are so many ways for you to enjoy your stay!

Summer, Fall, Winter, or Spring our “Little House on the Flambeau” is nestled along the historic Flambeau River on the Big Falls Flowage. It’s ideally located for river trips, hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, or just a relaxing vacation. The cabin will sleep six comfortably – has complete kitchen and washer/dryer.
The Rusk County Historical Society was incorporated in 1955 and is a non-profit organization. The objectives of the society are the discovery, preservation, and public dissemination of the history of Rusk County and the state of Wisconsin. The entire historical museum consists of ten buildings displaying thousands of donations from the citizens of Rusk County to be shared with the many visitors each year.
Rusk County Trail’s End Youth Camp is located 2 miles northeast of Bruce on the Chippewa River. Trail’s End Camp is the ideal location for your group’s next retreat, conference, workshop, graduation, family reunion, or wedding. The camp offers plenty of space for indoor and outdoor activities. Facilities include comfortable group cabins (2 cabins are handicapped accessible), commercial kitchen, dining hall, assembly hall, modern restroom and shower facility, volleyball, basketball, and horseshoe courts, soft ball field, challenge course, outdoor amphitheater, barbecue pits, fire rings, and a swimming area with access to the Chippewa River. The camp also has miles of nature trails that are ready to be explored. Trail’s End Camp may be reserved by the day, week, or weekend. While youth groups mainly use the camp, it is also open for overnight private use. Your first stop when you get to Rusk County should be the Rusk County Visitor’s Center. During business hours, friendly staff are waiting to help visitors find out where to go and what’s happening in Rusk County. After business hours, travelers can utilize the Vistor’s Center’s convenient 24-hour information station. You’ll find maps and local information as well as GPS units, binoculars, and snowshoes – everything you need to get started on your Rusk County adventure. The Vistor’s Center occasionally showcases railroad memorabilia and art displays. It is also the home of the Greater Ladysmith Area Chamber of Commerce!
